Ray trained as a CPA and was certified as a certified public accountant in 1976 (after graduating from the University of North Texas in 1974 with a degree in accounting). Ray actually worked as a CPA in public accounting for five years. He then attended Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and graduated with his law degree in 1982 (with honors and as a member of the Order of the Coif). Ray then trained as an estate and tax attorney and spent 10 years with a downtown Dallas law firm. He was board certified in estate planning and probate law in 1989. While a partner at the downtown firm, Ray had a desire to start his own firm. His background in business as a CPA, in addition to being a tax lawyer, has led Ray to develop a firm offering both legal and business counseling to clients. Ray has been married to Pam over 30 years and they have three children.

Bill's practice is limited to the areas of fiduciary litigation, contested and uncontested probate and guardianship matters, and estate and business planning. Bill is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Bill's planning practice centers on helping individuals and families pass wealth from one generation to the next as efficiently as possible. Bill's litigation practice centers on resolving controversies that arise involving trusts and estates.

Bill is a 2004-2006 Fellow of the American Bar Association's Real Property, Probate and Trust Section and a member of various committees within that section. He is the marital case law summary editor of the State Bar of Texas' Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal, a member of Dallas Bar Association and active in various industry groups including the Dallas Estate Planning Council and Estate Planning Council of North Texas. Bill also serves on the Board of Directors for the following organizations: Rockwall Noon Rotary Club, the Rockwall Rotary Foundation and the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce. Bill is a frequent speaker in seminars for both lawyers and non-lawyers.

Bill graduated from Baylor University School of Law (J.D., cum laude) in 1996 and received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University (B.B.A.) in 1993. Bill is the son of missionaries and was born and raised in Kenya, East Africa. He is married to Stacey, and they have two young daughters.




 

Larry A. Flournoy, Jr.

Larry is a trial lawyer whose practice is limited to lawsuits involving trusts and estates. Larry represents executors, trustees, beneficiaries and others who are involved in lawsuits governed by the Texas Probate Code or the Texas Trust Code. This specialized litigation often involves such matters as will contests or breaches of fiduciary litigation, but it can also involve contested guardianship matters or accountings.

Larry was named by Texas Monthly as a Rising Star Among Texas Super Lawyers for 2005. He is a member of the Dallas and Texas bar associations, serving on the advisory committee on Durable Powers of Attorney for the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Texas Bar. He is also a member of the Dallas Young Lawyers.

Larry graduated from Baylor University School of Law in 1995 and immediately began his trial practice with a civil litigation firm in Beaumont, Texas. He is married to Suzanne, and they have one young son.

Cynthia concentrates her practice on business planning, tax and estate planning. Her focus is on obtaining maximum liability protection and aggressive representation for her business clients and providing assistance to individuals in accomplishing the best estate planning and asset protection for their families. Additionally, Cynthia actively represents several non-profit organizations in Frisco and Collin County, and is a member of the Collin County and Frisco Bar Associations.

Cynthia graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1994, with an emphasis on tax and estate planning, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin (B.A.) in 1991. Cynthia is married to Kevin and they have one young son.

Tanya began practicing law in Texas in 2004, and her prior legal experience includes working with the Dallas County Probate Courts on guardianship matters. Tanya's practice includes probate litigation, probate administration, guardianships and estate planning. Tanya received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 (Phi Beta Kappa) and her law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2004 (magna cum laude). In law school, she received the Outstanding Staff Member Award from the Texas Wesleyan Law Review.

Prior to going to law school, Tanya worked as a masters level geriatric social worker in various health care settings. Tanya is a member of the Texas State Bar's Real Property, Probate and Trust Section as well as the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She was also selected for the 2005 Leadership Class of the Dallas Bar Association's Young Lawyers division.

Derry R. Anderson

Although originally a litigator, Derry changed directions in his legal career from litigation to tax. Derry currently advises clients on federal tax matters including partnership tax, corporate tax, and issues related to federal estate, gift, and transfer taxes. In addition, Derry assists clients with the creation of family limited partnerships and other entities for asset management and wealth planning, as well as the preparation of wills and trusts. 

Change is not new to Derry. Prior to attending law school, Derry was a Captain for Delta Air Lines. There, he flew numerous aircraft including the B-727, B-737, B-757, B-767, MD-88, MD-11, and L-1011.

Derry received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1989. He then earned his law degree from Baylor Law School in 2006. Derry has completed all the course requirements except one toward his LLM in Taxation from SMU. He expects to complete his LLM in Fall 2008. Derry is married to Julia and they have a son and two daughters.
